Hi, I’m Emma!
I’m a mom of two littles and a Great Dane named Willow, so our house is… BUSY! My husband and I moved into our 1,200-square-foot home in 2016. Becoming a parent in 2020 and teaching kindergarten for over ten years has taught me a lot about finding simplicity in my life where I can.
Having a simplified space has countless positive outcomes, but the most meaningful to me is having spaces that are easy to manage so I have more time to enjoy my life. 🙂
We do best with less

Between my classroom and my home, I have learned a lot about simplifying spaces that are easy to tidy. So easy, in fact, that the kids can even do it! I picked up decluttering skills in my classroom pretty quickly out of necessity! I have tried many systems and strategies to help students develop their play, learning, and independence. This cannot happen without also learning to take care of and keep our classroom tidy. The number one thing I have learned is that kids do best with less. I brought this concept home and found out that it is just as true for my own kids AND for my husband and me.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, decluttering and tidying are skills you can learn! Before I started, I had way more than I needed and wrestled with the worry that I would need something again, or that I would hurt someone’s feelings by getting rid of gifts or thoughtful hand-me-downs. This was on top of the guilt I would feel about more expensive items collecting dust. It’s been a slow but successful journey, so whatever part of the journey you are on in simplifying your home, let’s walk this road together 🙂

I’m here to help you speed up the process and learn the skills, tips, and tricks to making your home an “easy tidy” space!
